Members meeting following the SWPG AGM 9 October 2026
The Chairman (Linda Chudley) continued with the Members’ meeting following the AGM.
A member requested a printed copy of the AGM pack to be made available for next year.
- The Secretary explained the reason for not having printed packs available this year. We have 186 SWP members and in the past, there have been many wasted copies and emailing the pack for members to view on their devices help towards the environment and minimizes our club costs. However, any member is welcome to contact me and I will be happy to have a printed copy made available at the AGM meeting or posted to their home address
No more questions came forward at this time.
The 2027 preliminary rally programme was distributed, with the caveat: This is a DRAFT and all rallies are subject to change. The Rally Officers explained how difficult the negotiations with sites have been this year, all sites are dealing with rising costs and are reluctant to quote fee prices too soon.
- A discussion around members Hosting and Co-Hosting receiving Rally fees paid by the club and an incentive for hosting
- Rally Officer pointed out it depends on the amount of units attending the rally – Sites will agree a free pitch for Hosts if 20 units or more are on site.
- A member requested the item to be discussed by Committee.
Chairman thanked everyone for their input and all points are valid points. This discussion will be put towards the committee to investigate the pros & cons.
The suggestion box that was requested to be set up before the AGM, it was available, but produced no suggestions this year
Members thanked Linda and all the committee for all their hard work throughout the year and for standing for re-election.
Angela received flowers and chocolates as a thank you for Auditing this year’s accounts.
No further Members’ issues were raised and the meeting closed at 20.14pm
